I 100% remove the modules and do them on the bench. Safest way hands down. But as stated above. The flash is usually the culprit in this scenario. If you post the part numbers. I can see if I have a CAS4 and send you the flash. Or maybe someone can also send you the flash files. -

Me again. Autel would not repair program although it did warn me it was about to f it up. I found a 2013 X3 at a friends lot and copied CAS and ISN from DME. Wrote it to brick and still no go. Got a CAS 4 from buddies junk yard out of 5 series and cloned donor X3. Made new key and wrote ISN to DME, would not start without it. Dash was a Christmas tree but ABRITES was able to code. Mileage was off but ABRITES was able to fix that. ALL this because ABRITES would not write key with ign coil. and I had to get stupid, nothin' new. Coil was good I tested before the disaster. here is all my stuff. CAS 4 fail.rar

Does anyone have a source for tested ME's? Have a Mercedes shop we do a bit of work for and we have gone through 2 different ME's both with different permanent codes that won't go away and thus won't pass smog. Yay California... Just curious if anyone has a source for these. TIA -
Thank you. It does respond with flash id and part info. I did not check for DTCs.
