Singh reacted to roadwarrior in 2004 Buick Regal BCM VATS?
After you do the VTD learn it will. Hell, I've done that on AKL if value isn't printed on ignition rather than interrogate.
Best Regards, S. Kameron CRL.

AK90 can change the vin
change the ISN manually or I've heard EWS editor will do it automatically

If I am not mistaken , have never had to do it with it missing
Read the Password/ISN from the DME
Write the Password and Vin into the EWS - make a key to the EWS as normal
Plug in and you're good to go

Need to replace a ews3 module on an 05 bmw x5. Shop has lost the original and bought a used replacement. Anyone know how to make this happen? Dme is ME 9.2. I'm trying to sync on bench

Singh reacted to Lockin4u in 2007 Audi A4 Cluster Swap ?
I don't remember whether the tech person said that 2005 or 2006 was the cut-off point. But definitely not 2007.
With Abritis through the DLC or on the bench?

I think some are encrypted and some are not. I have done this with ABRITES. It may have been an earlier year I guess.

Follow-up. According to the experts at Ross-Tech, VAG COM will not perform this procedure on the 2007 Audi A4.
I finally got the VVDI2 working again, only to fail after reading & saving the EEPROM data and attempting to write it to the donor cluster. I contacted VVDI "tech support" through their Whatsapp number on May 6. I explained the situation and they replied with "one moment". That's the last I've been able to extract from them. I've attempted 2 more times since to elicit an answer. They have read all of my messages (it shows that on Whatsapp) but they've ignored the conversation. I'm pretty sure that Xhorse in Chinese actually means Horse Shit.

Abrites will do this without new keys. VAG com will but new keys needed. I have done this but it was awhile ago.

This one does not have the component security i think. Just the precoding data and pin, vin.
I'm spoiled with abrites, it makes it very easy.

Customer says the car runs with the original cluster. But the body functions weren't working, windows, electric locks, radio, etc. He did a scan and said the data lines for that module were screwed up. He got a used cluster out of the same y/m/m while he was at the junkyard. With the new/used cluster plugged in, everything that wasn't working is now functional. Of course the car won't start because it's a mismatched cluster. Hoping it's possible to transfer the necessary data to the new/used one or otherwise marry it to the car.

Have not had to - but I believe that is an RB8 cluster on that year. I think the VVDI2 is capable of reading the data and writing to used - assuming the old one is intact enough to do so.
Why are they replacing it? If it says DEF on the screen, I have had the vvdi2 resurrect several thru OBD in ~ 30 seconds.

Keypro Team,
Hope all doing well.
Who all interested in stepping into the ECU/TCU Cloning/Virginizing/Reading/Writing Business?
I am looking to create a support group for those looking to buy the Flex tool and offer tips/hints/videos through me as I am the official distributor of their tools.
If you have local business who do transmission swaps for euro cars, or ecu swaps, the flex is a low investment high return tool to own.
You can also allow mail in service for these types of jobs and this is where it becomes lucrative once your name is out.
You have 2 versions of the Flex, Flex Master and Flex Slave. Flex Master is more expensive but gives you the raw data read, this is helpful when you want to modify data yourself, requires experience. Flex Slave on the other hand is a reasonable priced tool which reads the data and encrypts it, you would send the file to me to unlock, which then allows you to write back into a used module.
Flex Slave FULL version (ECU/TCU/OBD/BENCH/BOOT) - $3000
Flex Slave ECU OBD/BENCH - $2000
File unlock service $50/file
I'm planning to do an introduction video for the product and give an example on how to clone let's say a BMW N20 or N55 ECU which have common failures.

I had a customer call with a 2013 GLK350 that they put a used trans in and wondered if I could program it as it wouldn't move. I have diagspeed pro so I was able to reset it and I used autel elite to code the trans when all said and done car moved. Easy money. Dealer wanted 11k. They have less than 3k in I would bet

The ICU must be married to the ECU. Do you know if thats the case?

Singh reacted to lkelocksmiths in I/O terminal
I just got one. Played with it today and was able to read and write a ECU from a 2011 Equinox. The vehicle is not mine so I wasn't able to do a full swap, but i did modify the VIN in the bin file looks like global A wont need new modules anymore!

Singh reacted to hangtime in 2005 volvo S40
Assume he means the CEM. . . and hell yes it has to be matched up. VIDA is probably the only thing that'll do it if the original isn't available to clone from. Think it'll cost about $150-200 in 3 day passes and software downloads to pull it off. . . or an hour's labor and $68 download if you haul it to Volvo . . . personally I'd just let the monkey haul it to volvo if you can't clone it.
I have a S40 and V50 of that vintage (same car but the V is a wagon and S is a sedan, otherwise identical). V50 has a bad CEM, likely because of blocked sunroof drains causing the interior to flood. Been trying to find a replacement CEM with the same processor so I could just clone it. . . pulled 5 of them in junkyards and the S40 and no ringers so far. I'll probably be an ass and just swap all the modules as a matched set from the S40 and let it run around with the wrong vin.

Shop installed brand new PCM. Micropod required to program. Most Chrysler vehicles have an option to replace PCM under the BCM. This vehicle does not have that option. You need to select PCM from the topology then update the flash after which you need to update the odometer and then the pcm vin.
