Good to know that 608 can program a new Chrysler RFH.  Another option besides Micrpod.

You need Ford IDS with a VCM2 (scan tool interface hardware) and you need to perform a PMI (programmable module installation) this is where the software IDS will ask you if the donor used PCM is the vin.. when you choose no it will then ask you if the original vin is correct (obviously you choose yes) then it will connect to the ford server and download the correct calibration based of the vehicles vin. Once the PMI is completed you need to gain security access and perform a parameter reset and then a erase all keys and program 2 keys into the PATS system. The odometer will not be effected by the PCM change.
Note: You can also do this with a passthru device.  However using a passthru device to perform vehicle programmings can and sometimes does have pitfalls. There is a number of different passthru devices on the market... some are better then others... some have been validated by manufactures.(tested and tried and meet manufactures criteria) and a bunch have not been validated. When you run into a vehicle that’s doesnt program a pcm or a module or a Key correctly one must consider that the passthru device might be the reason behind this issue. It’s been a documented problem for years. For the locksmiths that are planning to perform additional services like module programming you must considers either purchasing factory scan tool interfaces example (Ford *VCM2, GM *MDI or MDI2, Chrysler *Micropod2 etc etc) or purchasing a J2534 passthru device and perhaps one that has been validated by as many manufactures as possible.
Tools like the Smart Pro can’t replace a PCM correctly as in this example.

Keyman41 reacted to rapidlock in 2014 Dodge Ram PCM replacement with Autel
I did a PCM replacement on a 2014 Ram with my Autel today. It was a used PCM and the procedure was a little different that the Caravan that I posted about last month. This one actually had fewer steps.
In Autel select your vehicle and then go to: Diagnostics>Control Unit>Engine>Check PCM VIN
At this point it will read the VIN in the PCM and give you an option to update it. After you update the PCM, go to "Reset ECU". Then auto scan for, and then clear codes, and you're go to go. You don't even need the PIN to change the PCM on this vehicle.
