Just an FYI when swapping used modules on GM Architecture A vehicles. Please watch the video in the link provided to understand what can happen if you install
used Electronic Modules in these vehicles. I have seen this happen, fortunately it was the owner of the vehicle that put the used components into his Camaro and bricked the car!

GM states that VINs in other modules can be corrupted, when and if this happens, any module with a corrupted VIN will need to be replaced. I have had transmission shops put used transmissions into GM AA vehicles and the TCM will not program as it is VIN locked. These also did not brick the cars. GM CAN vehicles will not allow programming a used BCM using SPS but the attempt will hurt nothing but time.
Basically, if you are swapping the listed modules mentioned in the videos, you chance ruining other modules on the AA network or BUS. I have seen it happen as well as not happen. I for one advise my customers that they must use new parts as per GM.
