Few questions,  first is vvdi the only reader you have? Second just confirming you are trying to read the bcm and not the kvm. Third, what is the processor mask and did you intentionally mean to read it as an unsecured 768?

I have had some luck repairing these with a simple reflow process.
I remove the PC board from the case and reflow it in my wife's oven. Its easy while she is asleep, i fill at pan with a layer of fine pool sand. then cover the sand with aluminum foil, place the foil directly on top of the sand, such that no sand can touch the board. preheat the oven to about 450, when the oven is good and hot, place the bare board on the foil, it helps to place a blob of soldering flux on the board somewhere as an indicator of reaching the proper melting point. View the flux thru the glass of the oven door, so you can tell when you have reached a good reflow temperature for a minute of so, then without touching the pan or disturbing the pan just simply turn off the oven open the oven door and let it cool off slowly.
walah you have reflowed the board, it solves a number of solder joint issues most of which are not visible on these dense multi layered boards.

Supposedly was the alternator, which was already replaced. With the by pass in it is now charging at 14.3 volts... which is manually adjustable. Like I said, I will post pictures once I get it all working properly.

I'd love it incase this does not pan out. Just let me know how much $ + shipping.
Have an email into the guy - the by pass has the car charging, but his trick to tricking the charge light off is not working.

Essentially it is a resistor with a heat sync wired in between the alternator plug coming from the ECM. That portion of the ECM is working, as if you plug it in to the alternator the light was not on (Even tho it did not charge)

Yes. But 1st go in under PCM/special functions/PCM replaced. That will probably get you a runner.

I have done several vw module coding with the elite and has done a great job either extracting the coding or getting it off the server ( for that must be connected to wifi) mainly airbag coding that I have done fyi

The RL66 should be a 93LC66 and the R56L should be a 93LC56. The L in the part number indicates that it's capable of operating at a lower voltage (2.5 V). The difference in the two is that the 93C66 holds 8 kb of data and the 93C56 only holds 4 kb. If you look at your RL66 dump and no data is being stored in the latter half of the file, the L56R will probably work. If there's anything being stored in that area though, I wouldn't even attempt it.

Davepii reacted to keymachine in 2004-2007 Chrysler Town And Country Used ECM Replacement With Autel Maxisys
This is a tutorial on syncing a used ECM to a Chrysler Town and Country using Autel Maxisys. This vehicle is a 2005 but the process is the same for pretty much any Chrysler. The newest I've done with the Maxisys is a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and the process was identical.

    Select Diagnostics

    Then Chrysler

    Next Automatic Selection

Make sure to manually enter the VIN and do not use the Read function. If you use the read function it will read the incorrect VIN out of the recently installed used ECM. After you enter the VIN click OK.

Although not necessary, it's always a good idea to check and clear all fault codes so select Diagnosis.

    And then Auto Scan.

If you want, after reading the fault codes, you can go into each module and review them or just use the Quick Erase function to clear them.

Scroll down to Skim/Skreem and double click the line or single click the arrow.

    Select Special Functions

    Then PCM Replaced

    Click OK

Enter the PIN and then click OK

If the PIN was entered correctly click OK

    Click OK

Make sure the VIN is correct and click Yes

    Click OK

    Click OK
You're done, that's all there is to it.
