It's one thing to test a circuit board with discreet components but with discreet components mixed with integrated circuits and microprocessors, without a schematic, is insane.

Do you have a transistor tester? Do you know which may be a MOSFET that you could destroy with an ohmmeter? 

You may be able to get professional rebuilders to help 

Or you could try and call Chad out in WA at SOS and see what his recommendation would be

Just remember that fiberglass will bend, the gelcoat, not so much. You'll create spider webs all over the place that flexed if you're not careful and especially if it's cold.

I don't think you're blocked. I think it may be just the fact that in the vast majority of situations where folks work on this particular vehicle, there would be absolutely no reason to open that box up to try and figure it out.

My post was not directed at you Ben. You would most likely be the recipient of such calls. It was more directed at the folks who bitch about the cost of something because they've seen the Chinese knockoff price on eBay but want the safety of buying it stateside.

Personally, I can't stand the tech calls about why something is not programming and find out they are using a $300 offshore programmer.

On top of that, AE tools always gives top notch unlimited tech support on equipment they sell. It's better than making a pest of yourself calling 'friends' while they are busy trying to make a dollar.
